Running On Empty: Bank Robbers Foiled By Lack Of Gas

Two suspected bank robbers have given an inspired demonstration of how not to rob a bank by being caught after their getaway car ran out of gas.

Police say that after the first suspect, a 38-year-old man, went into the bank and demanded an unauthorised withdrawal from the teller. After successfully escaping the bank with the money, police say he got into a Jeep, driven by his accomplice, a 35-year-old, and proceeded to drive away.

Unfortunately, their plan was somewhat foiled as the Jeep ran out of gas shortly afterward. Both men left the car and went their separate ways, before police traced the SUV back to it’s legal owner – the accomplice.

The men are currently being held on $50,000 bail and are facing bank robbery charges.

Rock-a-wear: Drug Smugglers Make New Line Of Luxury Suitcases

Airport police have found two suitcases that were to be carried from Chile to Spain were made from cocaine.

Most people just put the cocaine in the suitcase.

Detective Leandro Morales axplained that the drug “was not hidden in the luggage — this time the suitcases were the drug” later to be found at the Santiago airport.

He added that the suitcases were made from a combination of cocaine with glass fibre and resin. The 26-year-old who was carrying the coveted luggage was arrested.

It is not known whether the makers of the high-end travel line are planning to go public with the designs.

Wanted Criminal Places Personal Ad, Gets Date, Gets Caught

A man wanted by German police has been caught after placing a personal ad in a local paperand making a seriously bad first impression on his subsequent date.

Single male. WLTM woman with GSOH and proficient knowledge of the German legal system. Must hate police.

56-year-old Thomas Wolf was arrested by police in Hamburg after his date became concerned at his request to launder money for him.

Wolf is suspected by police of committing £2million kidnap. He is reported to have described himself in the ad as “cultivated but seldom boring”.
